Mariah is a freshwater fish biologist investigating the trade of invasive aquatic species in the Australian ornamental industry. Currently, she is completing her PhD at the Australian Rivers Institute at Griffith University, QLD, where she investigates, assesses, & reviews illegal and unregulated trade of ornamental fish in Australia. Her projects focus on evaluating the online trade of imperilled and invasive species and identifying key factors influencing their introduction likelihood.
